With a combined experience of more than 20 decades, our executive team is more than a group of experts, they’re our trusted leaders and our customers’ strongest advocates.

Mike Riney has been President and CEO of REM since December, 2003, and is a member of the Board of Directors. He has over 31 years of Claims, Managed Care, and other risk management services experience. Prior to joining REM in 1995 as Executive Vice President of Claims, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Claims Officer in charge of Continental Loss Adjusting Services, the primary claims organization of Continental Insurance, and a provider of Third Party Administration services. While at Continental, Mike also served as President of Continental Rehabilitation Resources, a medical case management and vocational rehabilitation organization, and was responsible for the corporate loss control and premium audit divisions.
A graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Mr. Riney holds the Associate in Claims designation from the Insurance Institute of America.

Paula Maguire has over 30 years of Claims and Risk Management related experience. Prior to joining REM in 2000, Paula served as Vice President of Client Account Services with GAB Robins. While at GAB Robins she also served as Eastern Regional Vice President of Field Operations for Risk Management Services, and held other senior management positions. At REM, Paula has national responsibility for field claims operations. She earned a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Applied Mathematics and Economics from Brown University.

Linda Naif has over 28 years of experience in Claim Operations, Project Management and System Design. Linda joined REM in 2000 and has since held positions in the Applications Development Group and Customer Support Unit before promotion to her current position. Prior to REM, Linda was with ADP Inc., where she held the position of Senior Project Manager. Prior to ADP, and with Continental Insurance, where she held positions within the Systems Division and business units, including Director of Claim Operations. Linda has extensive experience in systems design, implementation and customer service. She is currently responsible for our IT infrastructure, system design and development that support our field organization and customers.

Matt Craig has over 30 years of claims, underwriting, TPA sales, and other insurance-related experience. Prior to joining REM in 1995, he served as Vice President, Major Accounts for The Home Insurance Company. In that role, he was responsible for management of TPA vendor relations and client service, including claim account management. Prior to The Home, Matt was the New York City Claim Manager at CIGNA. In his current position as Senior Vice President, he is responsible for sales and development of new business opportunities. Matt attended Fordham University and the College of Insurance.

John Tobey rejoined REM in February of 2004. He previously worked for Fireman's Fund Insurance Company as the Regional Claim Executive for the Midwest region. In that role, John was responsible for strategic planning, quality assurance, and customer service delivery from a multi-line staff. John previously served with REM as Vice President of the Syracuse, NY Service Center between 1995 and 1998.
In his current position, John is responsible for REM's line of business management, technical claims management capabilities, vendor management and Quality Assurance. He leads REM's Best Practices and leakage management process through claims audit and technical training.
John is a graduate of St. Peter's College with a BS degree in Business Management and holds the Workers Compensation Claim Law Associate and Fraud Claim Law Associate designations from the American Educational Institute. He has over 28 years experience in both carrier and third party administrator environments.

Alan Lawrence is responsible for the accounting and financial functions at REM. He is a member of the American Institute and NJ Society of CPA's and received his MBA from Boston University. He began his career with Price Waterhouse & Co. and has over thirty years of experience in the insurance industry. Mr. Lawrence spent 10 years at Crum & Forster where he served in various financial positions. He joined Home Insurance in 1986 where he served as Vice President of Financial Services. Mr. Lawrence has been with REM since its inception in 1995.

For more than 25 years Tim McIntyre has held senior legal positions in several major insurance companies and service organizations. He joined REM in 1995 as Assistant Vice President – Legal and was most recently Associate General Counsel.
Mr. McIntyre is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of New York and New Jersey. He is a member of the American Bar Association, New York and New Jersey State Bar Associations, and several local and national professional organizations. He holds an M.A. from Fordham University and a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.
Mike has over 20 years experience in the insurance industry, focusing on Program business for the past 10 years. Prior to joining REM in early 2010, Mike served as Program Development Manager for corporate development of PMA Group’s Program segment. As REM’s Vice President of Programs, Mike leads the development and growth of REM’s Program practice, having key responsibility for Program sales, account management, analytics and service. Mike attended Penn State University.
